Taking into account the large quantities of used oils remaining in the food industry (more than 6000 tons of used towel oil were collected in 2023) UAB HI-LABS will strive to use the resulting oil waste and obtain surfactants, which will serve as the main washing agent within the framework of the project, by creating innovative products for cleaning. It is also planned to use bile as an additional surfactant, which is carried out by the meat industry, and for the destruction of odors it is planned to use enzymes that are obtained from renewable sources.
UAB HI-LABS plans to develop new products during the implementation of the project:
• HI-LABS odor-neutralizing detergent.
• HI-LABS odor-neutralizing universal surface cleaner.
• HI-LABS odor-neutralizing dishwashing detergent.
• HI-LABS odor-neutralizing floor cleaner.
Detergents will be formulated free from dyes or perfume, making them more environmentally and human-friendly. The problem of the utilization of waste from the food industry will also be addressed. It is planned to certify the products Ecolabel sign.
